Orders for Monday, August 3, 2026

This was a routine Senate scheduling session, not a debate on the bill’s merits. Senator Thune asked that the Senate adjourn until 3 p.m. on Monday, August 3, with a vote scheduled for 5:30 p.m. that day to move forward on the pending bill, a continuing appropriations measure that also extends African trade preference programs. No substantive arguments for or against the bill were made during this exchange.Written by AI from the debate. Updated .
