We take speeches from Congress and rewrite them as the blunt, plain-language version.

How it works

The Congressional Record is downloaded from Congress.
Short procedural exchanges are skipped.
A language model rewrites each substantive statement using the same instructions.
The translation is published beside a link to the original wording.

Our point of view

This site leans libertarian: sympathetic to individual freedom, voluntary choice, decentralization, and limits on government power; skeptical of coercion, bureaucracy, and centralized control. Party labels do not earn anyone a favourable translation.
