“I want the Senate to pass a bill about ticks and Lyme disease. I helped make the first bill in 2019. The bill gives money to health departments to help with ticks and diseases they cause. A Senator got sick from a tick and died. I don't want that to happen again. Maine has a lot of Lyme disease. We need to help stop it. A newspaper said there are lots of ticks in Maine this year. That's bad. There is a test for a Lyme disease vaccine. Dogs can get a vaccine but people can't. I want that to change. The bill will help that research. I have people who support the bill. I want everyone to support it.”
