EXECUTIVE CALENDAR (Executive Session)

The Senate met in executive session to consider groups of nominations, largely military appointments, listed on the executive calendar. Senator Thune sought unanimous consent to take up and confirm a long list of nominations en bloc, with a few named exceptions, including one nomination (Stephen P. Snelson) set aside. No substantive arguments for or against the nominations appear in the sampled statements.Written by AI from the debate. Updated .
