Authority for Committees to Meet

The Senate considered a routine request to authorize five Senate committees to meet during the day’s session. Senator Cassidy submitted the request on behalf of committees, noting it had the approval of both the Majority and Minority Leaders under Senate Rule XXVI. There was no substantive discussion of policy; the item was a standard procedural authorization.Written by AI from the debate. Updated .
