Orders for Monday, September 28, 2026

This was a scheduling session in the Senate, not substantive debate. Senator Husted asked unanimous consent to set the Senate’s calendar for Monday, September 28, including wrapping up consideration of the Protect College Sports Act of 2026 and holding a final vote on it at 5:30 p.m. that day. The bill in question would set rules for college athletes’ name, image, and likeness deals, cap agent fees, and let schools pool and sell media rights under a limited antitrust exemption. No arguments for or against the bill were made in this exchange.Written by AI from the debate. Updated .
