War in Iran Is Impacting New Mexicans

A Democrat blamed the President's war in Iran for high gas prices in his state. He said prices are a dollar more per gallon than last year, and it now costs more to fill up a truck than buy a plane ticket. He claimed the higher prices cost working families $81 more per month that they could have spent on other things, and said people think prices are too high because of the war.

Democrat
“I want to blame the President's war for high gas prices in my state. Last year gas was cheaper. People in my state drive a lot and many have trucks. Now it costs a lot to fill up a truck. That makes driving expensive. It costs more than a plane ticket. People in my state have to pay $81 more for gas each month. That's a lot of money for working families. They could spend that on groceries or baseball tickets instead. People think prices are too high. I want to say it's because of the war.”
