“I want my colleagues to vote for this bill. People who follow the tax rules should not have to pay for the crimes of dishonest tax preparers.”
“Mr. Speaker, taxpayers who follow the rules should not be liable for the actions of those who do not. This bill will ensure that the innocent taxpayers are not on the hook for the wrongdoings of bad actors. Mr. Speaker, I urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to vote ``yes’’ on the bill, and I yield back the balance of my time.”
