“Mr. Speaker, today, I rise to recognize Orange County resident Bill Thompson for his generous contributions and support of Lestonnac Free Clinic. For years, Bill has worked with Lestonnac to provide critical healthcare for uninsured communities throughout southern California. With Bill’s help and the help of other generous volunteers, Lestonnac has executed on its clear vision, expanding healthcare so that nobody goes without. Just last year, Bill worked with Lestonnac to open the Nation’s first dedicated free surgery clinic, a groundbreaking initiative to provide life-changing procedures to veterans and others, no questions asked. Today, I ask my colleagues to join me in thanking Bill for his commitment to helping our neighbors in need.”
