“I am here to say nice things about my friend Vernell Sturns. He did many good things for Fort Worth and north Texas. He was the first Black assistant city manager. He also led the Dallas Fort Worth airport. He was a trustee of two colleges. He helped the Black Chamber of Commerce. He was friends and helped many people. He died recently. I want to honor his life and work.”
“I am here to say nice things about my friend Diana Flores. She worked in education for a long time. She was on the Dallas College Board of Trustees. She did many things while she was there. She helped the college grow. She helped students go to college. She is retiring now. I want to thank her for her work.”
