Accelerating Access to Critical Therapies for Als Reauthorization Act of 2026
“I support this bill. It spends money to research ALS treatments. My coworkers and I agree on this. We worked together to pass the first bill. I talked to a man with ALS and his wife. They founded a group called I AM ALS. They inspired me to work on the first bill. My father died of Parkinson's. Many people in Congress know someone with a disease like this. The first bill helped people get treatments. It helped researchers share their work. The government spent $350 million on these programs. Now we vote to extend these programs for 5 more years. I want Congress to hear the people with ALS. I want them to know we support them. I thank my colleagues for their work on this bill. I urge my colleagues to vote yes.”
