Honoring the Life of Carl Johnson, Sr.

The House considered a series of tributes under the title honoring the life of Carl Johnson, Sr., a retired Glynn County fire chief and former county commissioner who served coastal Georgia for over 33 years. Representative Buddy Carter delivered the tribute to Johnson and then used the remainder of the time to honor and congratulate a long list of people and groups from his Georgia district, including veterans, new judges and appointees, business owners, retiring officials, a restaurant, a church celebrating its 275th anniversary, and other community members. Most of the time was spent on these recognitions rather than on legislation.Written by AI from the debate. Updated .
