“Most of the oil the United States uses for gas and energy comes from Canada, not the Middle East or Venezuela.”
“Mr. Speaker, I want to comment on Canada for 1 minute since Representative Kamlager-Dove talked about Venezuelan oil and part of why I guess we are fighting this war in Iran is to get oil through the Strait of Hormuz. Mr. Speaker, do you know where two-thirds of the crude oil that the United States uses for gasoline and energy comes from? It is from Canada. Mr. Speaker, I yield to the gentleman from Maryland (Mr. Ivey).”
