“Iran attacked us over 350 times in two and a half years. I want the lawmaker who wrote this bill to tell us exactly which military units and ships she wants to pull out.”
“Mr. Speaker, I yield myself the balance of my time. Mr. Speaker, I am going to begin by agreeing with something that my colleague said. We didn’t ask for this. We didn’t ask for Iran, again, as I have said already, to attack us over 350 times in just the 30 months prior to Operation Epic Fury. We did not ask for that. I want to read from the concurrent resolution offered by my colleague from Washington: ``Remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities with Iran,’’ with the exception of forces that would ``prevent the United States from defending itself, its Armed Forces, its diplomatic facilities, or allied states, from imminent attack.’’ Mr. Speaker, I yield 10 seconds to the gentlewoman from Washington (Ms. Jayapal) to tell us which units, which ships she would like removed.”
