Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life of Sergeant Chris Fisher, a loving husband to his wife, Carly, and a devoted father to two young children. On September 2, Sergeant Fisher, a sworn officer of the Warm Springs Police Department, was ambushed and killed in the line of duty. The son of a policeman, Sergeant Fisher devoted his life to protecting our communities, bravely serving with the sheriff's offices of Fayette, Heard, and Meriwether Counties before joining the Warm Springs Police Department. Sergeant Fisher also honorably served our country in the United States Army. Above the many titles and uniforms he earned, Sergeant Fisher was a husband, a father, a son, and a man deeply loved by his family. May God bless Carly Fisher, the children, the Fisher family, and our law enforcement community, who are all mourning this painful loss.
