She also offers free childbirth and maternal mental health educational classes, removing barriers to access and ensuring families across the region have practical information and support during this important time in their lives.⁶ Her efforts in education have drawn attention beyond the Eastern Sierra, as she is now involved in the development of maternal mental health curriculum and filming that extends the reach of this work to other communities, helping to bring rural perspectives into national education efforts.
